NetLabs/Discovery [Netlabs]

NetLabs/Discovery is a network mapping tool that automatically determineswhat is on a network and incorporates the information intoNetLabs/Manager. NetLabs/Discovery explores the network and recordsdetailed topological information in time-stamped snapshots. Snapshotscollected at different times can be compared to each other or to anexisting database to highlight and analyze changes in the network.NetLabs/Discovery is the only network mapping product that offers theoption to use either a "fast" SNMP search method that discovers activeIP-addressable devices (dormant and inactive devices many not bediscovered), or a complete PING (Packet INternet Groper) sweep thatdiscovers all devices with IP addresses. NetLabs/Discovery can also limitthe search to a specific subnet for a more precise analysis that canreduce network traffic associated with the search.
